
After I moved to the U.S. in 2018, I started packing bento everyday again. At first, putting together a box of food was challenging for me, but slowly, I learned to improvise and play it by ear.
Now, depends on what I have in the pantry/fridge and what I feel like eating, making bento is casual and fun for me. As a result, my bento are not entirely Japanese- Many of them are Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, and Western.
This is my bento diary and my experiment journal on the possibility of bento. I hope that it can bring you some inspirations while planning for yours!
